Should You Join a B.N.I. Group?

My business coaching clients ask me often
if joining a B.N.I. group is a
good way to build their business quickly.
That really depends on your occupation.

For entrepreneurs in the healing arts field
I suggest you read the following
to see if it is a good fit for you.

Joining a BNI is a good idea if...
you want to establish a local presence
you are an extrovert
you are doing HHC full time
money is not a concern at this time
you love networking
you know a lot of people
you want to do lectures
you want to work with small businesses and their employees

BNI may not be a good fit if...
you are building a global presence
you are an introvert
you have limited time to invest in your business
you plan on networking for individual clients

my overall experience is that HHC's
will join a BNI and spend a large amount of time
meeting with individual members and generating leads for other members
this can be exhausting and unproductive

the way to turn this to your advantage is to network for lecture opportunities
not individual clients and to already own a large rolodex of leads

in the end membership in a BNI usually benefits the
chiro, banker, dentist and real estate person in the the group the most
