September is yoga month.
If you know a yoga instructor or happen to be a yoga instructor
I recommend that you use that niche to continue to build your biz.
One example would be to give away free yoga all month
(whether it is one specific day a week or everyday) and
then piggy back a free nutrition lecture (or whatever your modality is)
during or after the yoga session.
You might want to speak about mindful eating
or eating vegetables that increase flexibility
or quiet the mind.
Then give out a FREE consultation postcard
or better yet take appointments right then and there.

Are You A Marketing Incest Victim?
One of the reasons I loved my IIN experience
was being part of a community. I love hanging out
with graduates, supporting new students and
coaching business building HHC's.
Here's the problem, its called marketing incest.
If you ONLY hang out with HHC's, attend conferences with
other HHC's, frequent the same associations, health fairs,
events and classes, read the same materials, magazines, and books
while generating the same cookie cutter newsletters, brochures and
giveaways, even replicating the same Yellow pages ad...
eventually as with all incestuous relationships the results become
less and less productive until things come to a screaming halt for everyone.
Unless you think out of the box, present your own unique selling proposal,
in your own personalized way, getting your inspiration from industry practices other than what everyone in your occupation of choice is already doing YOU AND YOUR SALES APPROACH WILL BECOME BENIGN, INEFFECTIVE AND OBSELETE.

Should You Join a B.N.I. Group?
My business coaching clients ask me often
if joining a B.N.I. group is a
good way to build their business quickly.
That really depends on your occupation.
For entrepreneurs in the healing arts field
I suggest you read the following
to see if it is a good fit for you.
Joining a BNI is a good idea if...
you want to establish a local presence
you are an extrovert
you are doing HHC full time
money is not a concern at this time
you love networking
you know a lot of people
you want to do lectures
you want to work with small businesses and their employees
BNI may not be a good fit if...
you are building a global presence
you are an introvert
you have limited time to invest in your business
you plan on networking for individual clients
my overall experience is that HHC's
will join a BNI and spend a large amount of time
meeting with individual members and generating leads for other members
this can be exhausting and unproductive
the way to turn this to your advantage is to network for lecture opportunities
not individual clients and to already own a large rolodex of leads
in the end membership in a BNI usually benefits the
chiro, banker, dentist and real estate person in the the group the most
